Long-Range Autonomy With Explorer Character
AVALON is a 46m (151ft) explorer yacht built by Cheoy Lee in 2012, with a steel hull and GRP superstructure. With a beam of 9.00m and 485 GT, she accommodates 11 guests in five cabins, along with 11 crew. Built to commercial shipbuilding principles, she is powered by a single Caterpillar main engine driving a variable-pitch propeller for efficiency, while a second engine and Schottel drive in a separate forward engine room provide redundancy and extra manoeuvrability. The result is a range of 6,600nm at 10 knots, making her ideally suited to long-range cruising and exploration. Previous owners have made full use of this, staying on board for up to eight months at a time, which underlines AVALON’s ability to operate autonomously. With more than €3 million invested and her latest refit completed in 2026, she offers a unique opportunity to acquire a proven explorer in excellent condition.
Refined Explorer Lines And Practicality
Designed by Ron Holland, AVALON combines classic explorer lines with a more modern presence, following her recent Flag Blue hull repaint. Her sun deck offers a bar with BBQ, a dining area and sun pads, with the hardtop providing shade. The owner’s deck opens aft onto a terrace with lounge seating, while the main deck aft features a shaded seating area that doubles as a space for alfresco dining. The foredeck has further lounge seating, alongside a 2.5-tonne crane serving the tender and jet ski garages beneath two hydraulic hatches, adding to her capability as an explorer. At the stern, the rebuilt swim platform provides direct access to the water.

Comfort And Privacy For Extended Life On Board
AVALON’s interior features Macassar ebony and walnut flooring, balanced by light fabrics. On the main deck, the salon combines a lounge, bar and additional seating for entertaining, followed by a separate formal dining area, with a study situated further forward. On the owner’s deck, the full-beam suite leads from the bedroom into a separate private lounge, which opens aft onto the terrace. The en-suite bathroom is fitted with double sinks and a steam shower. Finished in lighter wood that contrasts with the darker tones above, the lower deck accommodates a VIP, a double and a twin cabin, each with an en-suite. A fourth cabin doubles as a gaming room, currently equipped with racing simulators and a Murphy bed for additional guest accommodation.
