The yacht Beothuk is a 31.1 m (102 ft) custom build by Kuipers Woudsend BV in the Netherlands, launched in 2008 and designed by Vripack. She is styled to bridge the gap between rugged expedition‑capability and elevated comfort: a steel hull, robust design features and very long‑range systems combine with elegant interiors and high‑end finishes. With a beam of 7.62 m and a loaded draft of 2.26 m (approximately 7.5 ft) she is relatively shallow for her size, enhancing accessibility. Built for serious cruising, she carries large fuel and water capacities, hosts modern navigation and communication systems and is well‑equipped for extended voyages.

Powerful Purposeful Performance Driven Design
From the outside, the Beothuk displays the hallmark of an expedition motor yacht: full‑displacement steel hull, aluminium superstructure and smart deck layouts to facilitate long‑haul cruising. The Doggersbank Offshore line by Vripack emphasises tank‑tested hull design, intact stability and dynamic behaviour in varying loads. Her foredeck anchors and chain system, dual capstans on the aft deck, and hydraulic tender‑cranes make her capable of serious docking or remote‑area tender operations. Teak decks and polished stainless steel fittings add visual refinement, while the generous aft deck provides a protected outdoor living zone and the upper deck or skylounge area expands usable outdoor/indoor transition space. Interiors are framed by large windows that integrate her aesthetic with the sea view.

Highest Quality Finishing
Inside, the Beothuk reveals a striking blend of robust engineering and refined luxury. Fine joinery, granite and marble surfaces, quality appliances and integrated AV/entertainment systems are all part of the specification. Accommodation comprises three staterooms for six guests, plus crew cabins, supporting both private and more formal cruising. The main salon is spacious, inviting and framed by well‑designed lighting — enhancing the comfort for long passages. Special details include sophisticated storage design, access panels cleverly integrated into the bulkheads for maintenance access, and a layout that supports both relaxation and efficient operation. The galley and dining areas are appointed with high‑end appliances and smart layout, making away‑from‑home living very practical. The crew spaces are functional and dedicated, ensuring the guest areas remain distinct and serene.
